“when ye pray, use not vain repetitions as the heathen do”

JESUS said, “when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou hast shut the door, pray to THE FATHER which is in secret and thy FATHER which seeth in secret, shalll reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions as the heathen do; for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them, for your FATHER knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask HIM. After this manner, therefore pray ye: “Our FATHER which art in heaven, Hallowed by THY NAME. THY kingdom come. THY will be done,in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For THINE is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.”
I think this prayer was intended as a pattern for prayer, beginning with the acknowledgement of THE FATHER in heaven and praising HIM, and asking HIM to rule over the world, then asking for the important things of life: bread on a day by day basis as food; and for forgiveness of our debts through the power of THE HOLY SPIRIT, then asking for GOD to deliver us, protect us from evil. Then ending the prayer with another acknowledgement of GOD as GOD who has all power, and all glory and the Kingdom of GOD [everything according to Matthew 28:18]
